Optimization of the Antenna Unit of the Superconducting Magnetometer: Research of Weak Magnetic Signals

Introduction. The article describes the optimization of superconducting antenna design and balancing method magnetometer. This magnetometer is designed to study magnetic properties materials, as well non-invasive distribution particles in organs small laboratory animals, when toxic or drugs are introduced into animal's body. a second-order axial gradiometer part flux transformer SQUID sensor. For stable operation within dynamic range magnetometer, must have balance degree at least 1/1000. Traditionally, it balanced separate tuning module (Helmholtz coils), which creates homogeneous field with high uniformity. purpose. problem that subsequent displacement unit measuring complex, even laboratory, reduces due objects create strong gradient field, negatively affects measurements. Results. As solution this problem, some approaches described article. In order increase uniformity inside solenoid eliminate distortions its edges, using special arrangement turns directly measurement site was proposed. elements for horizontal components were eliminated. Also element form ring along vertical component does not violate symmetry applied. Conclusions. Using approach, possible optimize process sufficient geometric center system, reduced time preparing system work improved metrological indicators system.
